I lived in DC for years and first met Michael quite some time ago while looking for a condo. If I recall correctly, I actually met him at one of his open houses, despite me already having signed with another agent. So impressed I was with not just his knowledge, diplomacy, intelligence, and humor - but the ease at which we were able to communicate. I ditched the other agent and shortly thereafter signed with Michael and his team. It is one of the best real estate decisions I've made. Michael and his whole crew - a remarkable group of thoughtful, responsive (that is huge!), and collaborative team - have only ever been honest and candid with me through a few more recent transactions. Including, just last month, the last of my condos in dc. That place was sort of my baby: did a full renovation to exactly the way I wanted it - blood, sweat, and tears sort of thing. Then an actual baby came along with my wife and we not only moved away to the other side of the country but also had to sell the place. Naturally, we called Michael. He is a master chess player contextualizing the condo in light of the ever-changing market - from planning the next move, staging the place for potential buyers - he just knows what he's doing. And his backup crew never missed a beat. My wife and I live in California now, but still, stay in contact with Michael, not just because he was so helpful professionally, but also he's a genuinely kind, thoughtful, and hilarious man. I've often teased him that I hate real estate agents, but I've never really considered him a "Real estate agent" so much as an able steward of, likely, the most financially valuable thing you will ever buy or sell in your life. To do that the right way, there must be respect, honesty, a constant finger on the pulse of the evolving market (especially in DC!), and diplomacy. Michael and his team have those in spades. Should we ever move back to the swamp, he is the only person we are calling to find us our next home. I cannot recommend Michael Brennan enough.

Michael and his team were amazing! I have bought and sold many homes in my life. Usually, the process is medium, and I often have to micro-manage aspects. Working with Michael Brennan and his team (at Sotheby's) was truly a pleasure. They were professional, fast, kind, and so easy to communicate with. I felt like I was able to not worry about anything, and I felt confident that all parts and processes would get done properly and correctly - and they did! These days, things do not really get done properly or correctly. Much of the time, I have to call again and again, check on details, and tell people how to do their jobs. With Michael Brennan and his Sotheby team - all I had to do was list my home and then say thank you when it was sold (in less than 1 week.) every step was handled and managed with excellence. Communication was fast, efficient, and effective. All aspects were fair and explained. I would (and likely will :) use them again. I absolutely recommend Michael and his team!

Michael and his team guided me through the purchase of my Georgetown home several years ago, and more recently through its very successful sale. Michael knows Georgetown, and he really knows the papermill and lower Georgetown market. On Michael's advice, we listed the home at the perfect price point, which generated insane interest and three offers within the first 24hrs on market—each well above the list and with clean terms. Even though we prepared the home for list during a pandemic, Michael had a Rolodex of professional contacts to help us navigate the unique challenges of moves, repairs, staging, etc. Everything under Michael's control went smoothly; and when things outside his control presented obstacles, Michael and his team stayed cool and guided us through to the other side. Michael and his team helped sell my condo at paper mill court in Georgetown. He knew all about paper mill court and was able to immediately advise me on recent sales history and the competition. He also suggested a contractor make cosmetic improvements to the property, and a stager who was also experienced in making these particular units look there. Michael knows the president of the condo association and was able to help us get access to the electrical room, and also took on the task of obtaining needed condo documents. Jessica brosey is a real gem and part of Michael's team. She was the epitome of organization and hugely helpful in making sure that all of the needed paperwork was completed, and that our interactions with the buyer and settlement company went smoothly. Michael and Jessica were always available, always helpful. I could not have asked for more!

He was absolutely the best Realtor® I have ever met. He was so professional and respectful. He knew the area like no other. We were from out of state and had only a particular community in mind to buy. Every time I came he made it his priority to show me houses in that neighborhood. The best thing about him was that he never pressured me or made me feel like I had to jump and buy! A couple of times I was getting tired of the search and wanted to settle for something less than my ideal and he would always assure me that there would be more in the market. Ultimately I got the perfect house I wanted which filled all my criteria and I have no one else but Michael to thank! So if anyone needs to buy in the dc area and particularly in the elite Georgetown neighborhood Mr. Brennen is the best of the best!
